Time Tracking & Kiosks

A card on the wall, a phone in the field, and a review queue instead of an argument.

HRM Hub clocks people in three ways, because one way never covers a whole workforce. A kiosk is a tablet pinned to a workplace: tap an NFC card, tap a phone acting as one, or key in an employee number and a six-digit PIN. Setting one up is three steps and a six-digit activation code.

The mobile app covers everyone who is not walking past that tablet. It scans a QR code displayed at the workplace that rotates every sixty seconds — so a screenshot from yesterday is worthless — then reads GPS and compares it with the workplace geofence. Inside the radius the punch is verified. Outside it, the punch is recorded as unverified and sent to the review queue, not thrown away.

Breaks are logged inside the open punch with their duration and paid status; one still running at punch-out is closed automatically with a note. Corrections are allowed but never invisible: each one writes a before-and-after row onto the punch's own audit trail.

Key Benefits

1

NFC card, phone tap-in, or employee number plus PIN at the kiosk

2

Mobile clock-in with a QR code that rotates every minute

3

Geofence check that flags for review rather than rejecting

4

Breaks logged with duration and paid or unpaid status

5

Every correction leaves a before-and-after record

6

Kiosk heartbeat — a dead tablet turns red instead of silent

Use Cases

Restaurant kitchen

Cards on lanyards, a tablet by the staff door, and a live board that tells the manager who is actually on the floor right now.

Field and delivery crews

No kiosk to walk past. The phone scans the rotating code at the depot and the geofence confirms they were there.

The forgotten card

Employee number and PIN at the kiosk. The punch is tagged with that source, so the pattern is visible if it becomes a habit.
