Showroom TV
Run every screen in your business from one place — media library, playlists, multi-zone layouts, scheduling and device management. Slides can read live from your other KIMISUITE apps, and every screen keeps playing offline. In testing now, launching soon.
Screens that stop being someone's weekly chore
What Showroom TV does
Most digital signage products are very good at pushing pictures onto displays. The pictures then rot, because somebody has to export a new one every time a price changes. Showroom TV is built around the opposite idea: content that keeps itself current.
- One place to control everything. Media library with folders, tags and expiry dates. Playlists with drag-and-drop ordering, per-slide duration, transitions and versioning. Multi-zone layouts for portrait and landscape.
- Slides that are queries, not files. A menu board that reads live from Restaurant Hub. A vehicle wall that reads live from Vehicle Hub, filtered how you want it. Change the source, and the screen follows.
- Scheduling that reads like a sentence. Always, a date range, a weekly pattern, or a full rule — show on Mon, Tue, Wed between 09:00 and 18:00 except holidays — with priorities, emergency overrides and a fallback per device.
- Screens that survive the network. The player downloads only what changed, keeps it locally, and plays entirely offline. If the connection dies, the last valid campaign keeps running.
- Pairing in under a minute. The TV shows a code, you type it into KIMISUITE, and the device is bound to your workspace, its location and its group.
- Start from a template, not an empty canvas. Ready-made packages per industry — layout, playlist skeleton, theme, data binding and sample content, all editable the moment you apply them.
Where it is used
Restaurants and cafés, hotel public areas, car dealerships, retail floors and shopping centres, gyms and studios, medical and dental waiting rooms, reception areas, and any business running screens across more than one location.
Currently in testing
Showroom TV is being tested ahead of its public launch. What you see here is the v1 scope; player platforms, plan boundaries and pricing are confirmed at launch. Request early access and we will get in touch as soon as it can be switched on in your workspace.
Everything a screen network needs
Simple enough for one café, structured enough for a chain.
Video, images, HTML slides and sandboxed web views, organised in folders with tags, expiry dates, size display, format checks and an active or inactive status.
Drag-and-drop ordering, duration per slide, transitions, portrait or landscape, preview mode, duplication and versioning. Bulk-edit the duration of many slides at once instead of opening forty dialogs.
Split the screen into zones — a main area, a sidebar, a ticker, a clock, a logo — and bind different content to each. Layout and campaign stay separate, so one layout serves many campaigns.
A campaign is a playlist plus a target plus time rules: start and end date, weekdays, time windows, priority, target devices, groups or locations. Holiday exceptions, an emergency override and a per-device fallback are built in.
A slide can pull from Restaurant Hub or Vehicle Hub instead of referencing a file — or from a simple manual list you keep inside Showroom TV if you do not run those apps yet.
The TV displays a pairing code, you enter it in KIMISUITE, and the device is assigned to your workspace, a location and a group. No cables, no per-device configuration files.
Assets are cached on the device and playback runs locally. Only changes are downloaded. If the network fails, the last valid campaign keeps playing and the schedule is interpreted on the device.
Online and offline status, last sync, active campaign, storage state, app version, download errors and playback status — plus restart sync and remote refresh when something needs a nudge.
Devices only fetch the published version. Editing is safe; the publish button tells you how many screens are about to change and when. One keystroke should never hit two hundred lobby displays by accident.
The part nobody else can do: slides that read your own data
Every signage vendor can show a picture of a menu. The picture is wrong the moment a price changes, and someone has to notice, re-export and re-upload it. That is the real cost of digital signage, and it never appears in the price per screen.
In Showroom TV a slide can be a query rather than a file:
- Menu boards read live from Restaurant Hub. Categories, items, prices and images in the right language, straight from the menu your kitchen already maintains. Change a price in Restaurant Hub, and the board follows on its next sync.
- Vehicle walls read live from Vehicle Hub. Filtered by branch, price ceiling, sorting and count — a showroom slideshow of the stock you actually have, with photos in the order you set.
- A manual source for everything else. Not every business runs those apps. A simple list you maintain inside Showroom TV — item, price, image — drives the same templates, and can be switched to a live source later without rebuilding the screen.
How the data reaches the TV, and why it still works offline. The backend fetches from the source app on a schedule, normalises the result and renders it into the manifest the player downloads. The player never calls the source app itself — it plays what is already on the device. A content hash means that when nothing has changed, nothing is downloaded and nothing is re-rendered, so a hundred screens do not wake up every quarter of an hour for no reason.
The practical consequence: a business already using KIMISUITE gets screens that maintain themselves. A business using a standalone signage tool maintains everything twice.
Start from a template for your industry
An empty canvas is the fastest way to lose someone who is not a designer. The first thing Showroom TV asks is what kind of business you run, and then it shows only the templates that fit.
A template is not a picture. It is a complete, ready-to-run package: the zone layout, the playlist skeleton, a theme, the data binding and sample content. Applying it creates real, freely editable objects — not a link back to the template — so a later update on our side can never change a menu board you have since customised.
| Industry | Templates in the first catalogue |
|---|---|
| Restaurants and cafés | Menu board in one, two or three columns · daily special · breakfast, lunch and dinner switching · drinks list · compact food-truck board |
| Hotels | Lobby welcome · event board · wayfinding · restaurant opening hours · meeting-room occupancy |
| Car dealerships | Vehicle showcase from stock · single-vehicle detail with price, finance and QR code · service offers · new-arrivals wall |
| Medical and dental practices | Waiting-room information · treatment explainer videos · health-tip rotation · next-patient display · practice introduction |
| Retail and shopping centres | Promotion display · price and offer board · floor wayfinding · opening hours with ticker |
| Fitness studios | Class timetable · occupancy display · motivation loop · trainer introductions |
| Advertising operators | Advertising rotation with fixed slots · sponsor wall |
| General | Reception welcome · company information · ticker with clock and logo · emergency announcement |
A detail that matters in every waiting area: the sound is almost always off. An explainer video with no audio and no text on screen is wasted. The editor points this out when you drop a video into a zone with no accompanying text, because it is the single most common way a waiting-room screen ends up saying nothing at all.
Devices, locations and staying in control
Pairing. The player app shows a six-digit code on the TV. You enter it in KIMISUITE, and the device is bound to your workspace and assigned to a location and a device group. That is the whole setup.
Player platforms. Android TV and Amazon Fire TV are the launch platforms — the same app runs on both. Samsung Tizen and LG webOS players follow as web apps against the same API and the same content structure.
Groups and locations. Target a campaign at one screen, a group of screens, or every screen at a location. A chain schedules the national campaign once and lets each branch keep its own local slides underneath it.
Simple by default, deep when you need it. You never have to learn the word "campaign" to get content onto a screen: open the screen, choose a playlist, done. Underneath, a real campaign is created — it shows up in the campaign list as the default content for that screen and can be promoted into a full one whenever you want date rules, priorities or targeting.
Preview is the real player. The live preview in the browser is the actual player running in a frame, not a second renderer approximating it. What you see is what the TV plays, and it stays true after six months of bug fixes on both sides.
What we deliberately do not do. No hotel in-room TV — a browser cannot switch a tuner or an HDMI input, so hotels get signage in public areas, where it works properly. No frame-synchronised video walls. No touch-kiosk builder. No engagement or attention tracking. Proof-of-play is available as daily totals for operators who bill advertisers by it.
Security. Devices authenticate with their own tokens, are bound to one workspace, and everything runs over HTTPS with the workspace roles and permissions you already use in KIMISUITE.
